MEL-PLEX Project 11
Graduated in Medicine in 2009, at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Milan-Bicocca (Milan, Italy), with a final mark of 110/110 cum Laude. I did a full year of post-graduate mandatory practice, following which I was admitted, first classified, at the Specialty School in Pathology of the University of Milan (Milan, Italy). During my Residency in Pathology, I had the chance to work at the San Gerardo Hospital (Monza, Italy), at the Civil Hospital of Desio (Desio, Italy), at the Ortopedic Institute Gaetano Pini (Milan, Italy), under the supervision of prof. Juan Rosai at the Centro Diagnostico Italiano (Milan, Italy), and under the supervision of prof Lorenzo Cerroni at the Medical University of Graz (Graz, Austria). I became a Pathologist in 2015, with a final mark of 70/70 cum Laude. My main field of interest is in dermatopathology.
Why are you doing a PhD?
I am starting a joint PhD between the Katholieke Universiteit of Leuven (Leuven, Belgium) and the University of Milan-Bicocca, to join a strong research group in which to expand and refine my research skills and broaden my knowledge.
As I am able to escape from the lab, I like to go running and to attend dance classes. In my scarce free time, I enjoy travelling, listening to music (any type of music!), singing (alone or with my best friends), and reading, do some experimental cooking, and ride the motorbike (ok, I admit, as a passenger of my husband). Possibly all at the same time.
