Stuttgart school pupils hosted by MEL-PLEX PhD candidates at University

On March 9th 2017 pupils from a Stuttgart local school (Albert-Magnus-Gymnasiums) visited the Institute of Cell Biology and Immunology at University of Stuttgart and were received a general background on how a research project works and were introduced to cutting-edge techniques used by MEL-PLEX to carry our their projects.

Taking part in the research interaction day were PhD candidates Biswajit Podder, Cristiano Gutta and Vesna Vetma.

MEL-PLEX on Mini-Science TY Programme 2017

As part of the Mini-science programme hosted by RCSI for transition year students on February 2017 and later on an visit from Loretto College in March 2017, the MEL-PLEX programme manager, Dr Isabela Aparicio, discussed with the school pupils the trends in collaborative research projects such as H2020-funded Innovative Training Networks and the importance of scientific communication to the general public.
